Great Ouseburn’s annual garden festival has become a firm favourite in the open gardens calendar for many near and far. Each year hundreds of visitors come to the village to wander through the 15+ gardens, seek inspiration, chat to their owners, enjoy the talks and demonstrations and put their feet up in the café to enjoy much needed home-made refreshments.
The event has been running since 1991 and has grown in size and scope. With our wide promotions we even have visitors crossing the Pennines for a day trip!
Each year we raise money for village causes important to us all (the church, the school, the cricket club, youth group and the village hall). This June the event raised a staggering £14,000 - the record by far!
